This product Is AMAZING!

This product Is AMAZING! Everything that I have tried works just as it is supposed to work!

Setup was easy and very intuitive. I had only one question and I called Anker. My call was picked up in about a minute by Teagan and I was up and running in only two minutes more. Anker Support has been POSITIVELY GREAT whether via phone or email. More companies could take a lesson from Anker Support in regards to their very caring and helpful nature. They put their customers first!

So far everything is working perfectly INCLUDING the ability to use my old doorbell which is circa 1970. Why use an old doorbell? This one has the old hammers with xylophone bars within it that makes for a very melodious and warm 8-note Westminister chime. My hat is off to Anker/Eufy for building in support for the ability to use an old doorbell.

The video quality is amazing whether full color or if in a dark area, the use of very clear infrared. Excellent video quality with an easy way to search for video as well as it being easy to send video to law enforcement or anyone else. The video is stored in their 16GB HomeBase2 which sits inside your home and connects through wi-fi. It says there may be a way to add additional storage in the future. I doubt I'll use that since the 16GB seem plenty, but it's nice to know that it may be possible to add more if needed. It is nice that the storage is local IN YOUR HOME so if the doorbell is ever stolen, your video is safe and sound. I also like that I am NOT paying any monthly charge to see my video. It gives me piece of mind that the video can only be seen by me.

The ability to respond realtime via two-way audio is also a real plus!

The ability to set detection zones is ingenious and operates PERFECTLY. We have a lot of cars zooming by here, but there has NOT been any car detection, just people.

I heartily recommend this security doorbell to anyone looking for something that really works and is backed by a support organization that is second to none!

Easy setup - People you CAN use Wifi to connect the HOMEBASE to your router! Just connect by wire first set it up in the app then click settings and you can connect via wifi and ditch the wire... They don't make that clear in the instructions at all!

The recordings this captures are so short on the auto modes (optimal battery & optimal surveillance) it stops before the people even leave the screen or finish delivering a package. To fix this use custom and set it to max record time (120s) and 0s re-trigger with the end recording early is motion is not detected option on. This is the best way to use this doorbell cam.

First I'll explain experience with a 'competitive' product....
I had previously purchased a Ring 2 - chosen because it was one of the few battery operated available at that time and I 'thought' that the name brand (and reviews) meant it would be a good choice - I was sooo wrong! The Ring product started out looking good, with a well-thought-out kit of parts included in the box .... well all was 'great' until I actually installed and tried to use it. Then the major disappointment set it - there are fundamental problems with Ring devices, only unfortunately discovered after the fact, where with further research appear like a rash across their own forums with deafening silence from Ring in regard to either acknowledging or resolving the issues - the audio at the Bell was barely discernible; then worse, it was impossible to have a 2-way conversation using a late-model Samsung phone and same issue with an i-phone;
Delighted to say NEITHER of those issues were prevalent on the Eufy - I could not be more pleased with this device. It also has everything you need, right in the box, including angle bracket if you should require that. it was very easy to install and commission - both the homebase (which not only transmits your data to your local network, but also incorporates your on-board local storage and chime function) wireless signal to router and between the doorbell and homebase are excellent. (see image). I mentioned the local event storage - this means no monthly fees. Two way communication is crystal clear although there admittedly is a slight delay. I also integrated my Alexa Show (see image) - there is no 2-way communication possible, but it does show live view video if you receive an alert - or simply ask Alexa to show you the doorbell! Phone apps for the system (both apple and android) are clean and functional.
This truly IS a wireless installation - simply screw the doorbell to the door location of your choice, unencumbered by having to be restricted to old bell location (although you CAN if you want to, which means it will be self-charging; then after initial set-up of the homebase connected to router, the homebase too can be wirelessly connected to your router (still requiring electrical for that however of course)
Eufy vs Ring comparison
- Ease of installation & quality of kit content - similar
- Set-up - similar but I would give nod to Eufy for the App and Wireless set-up
- Functionality - hands down advantage Eufy (see fundamental non-function with late model Samsung); much more customization available within the Eufy app.
- Picture Quality - Eufy!
- Audio Quality- Eufy!
- File Storage - Eufy! - local storage, no monthly fees!
- Expandability - Eufy! - Easy to add cameras etc to expand basic capability for an integrated security system

So yes, not only has it resolved the fundamental issues experienced with RIng device, I am delighted with the additional performance afforded by the Eufy system . Definitely a 5 star, two thumbs up!
